My Self Improvement Journey

Being Different

Part of my self improvement journey has been expanding my wardrobe. At first, I wore the same thing every day: shitty black sweats and an even worse black tee. I had no fashion sense. Then I started expanding. I started wearing hoodies, better sweats, and I got a pair of Jordans. Now, I’ve been expanding even more into jeans, cargos, thrifting, more Jordans, etc.

As I’ve learned more about fashion I realize that it doesn’t matter how good your clothes look, if everybody else is wearing the same thing, you look bad. Things that look good become popular. That’s how the market works. When I started spending money on clothes, I would buy clothes I saw my friends had, and looked good. This was better than just wearing random sweats and hoodies, but its still not ideal.

Now, I’ve started trying to wear clothes that my friends don’t have, but still look good. This has been harder, because a lot of the clothes I like, my friends have already been wearing. Another challenging part is that exclusive clothes are expensive. My solution to these problems is thrifting. I’ve started thrifting; mostly online, and I’ve found unique pieces that still look good.

So this is my advice If you want to improve your fashion sense. Go thrifting, and find clothes that no one else has, but still look good. You need to stand out, and wearing the same nike tech and sweats that everyone else is wearing won’t help you.

Thank you for reading, and I hope that this helps you. See you next time,
