My Skincare routine

This is my dermatologist recommended skincare routine that has really helped me.

In the morning

  1. Foaming Face Wash
    • I typically use this in the shower
    • Taking cold showers can help with acne because it helps reduce inflammation
  2. Clindamycin and Benzyl Perioxide
    • This is a perscription from my dermatologist that I use after drying my face.
    • Talk to your doctor before using
  3. Moisturizer
    • I use a basic moisturizer after step 2, and whenever my skin is dry
    • I have also experimented with an aloe based moisturizer to help with acne scars, but it had not noticeable difference.
  4. Sunscreen
    • I use a 30 spf sunscreen whenever I leave the house, I got one from CVS which is tinted, which hides some of my acne.

At night

  1. Micellar water
    • I use micellar water before I go to bed to wash any dirt or product from the morning off my face.
    • I then wait 20 minutes for my face to dry
  2. Tretinoin
    • This is probably the best product you could use for acne, or aging. It is a prescription, so it is harder to get a hold of.
    • Talk to your doctor before using
  3. Moisturizer
    • I apply moisturizer to help with the dryness from tretinoin
