The basic things I do that I find have helped me
- Waking up early
- I have always been waking up early for school, and it has always been part of me. I also go to bed pretty early every night. I find that this just gives me more time. On school days, I always wake up early, but I find that on the weekends, if I sleep in, I am groggy the whole morning. I also find that when I sleep in on the weekends, it makes me more tired during the week because my sleep schedule is thrown off. My advice is to wake up at the same time everyday, everybody is different, but for me waking up early every day helps.
- Cleaing
- Recently, I have been getting a little joy out of cleaning. I make sure my room is always looking good and organized, and I find that fun. I use cleaning my room as a meditation, to help clear my head. I often do it before I go to bed, or after doing some hard work as a relaxing break. This also helps with your dopamine if you are spending too much time on screens. Living in a clean environment also helps you stay focused. Doing this as simple as making your bed can be extremely beneficial. Cleaning is also an easy win to help you feel productive. If you have to do a big task, it can be good to get small wins first, so you keep a productive, present flow state. If you don’t get these small wins, you will waste time trying to get into a flow state.
